If you're a pet professional, you know how important it is to keep on getting the word out about the best ways to train and care for pet dogs and cats. Podcasting is one way to reach people, and to raise your own profile in the process. But it can seem daunting, especially with the tech side of things--but also with the marketing. This webinar will share lots of tips and demystify the process, and give you the chance to have your questions answered.
Come and find out all about podcasting, how to get started and how to make your podcast grow in 2026 with this webinar for the Pet Professional Guild.
How to create and grow a successful pet podcast in 2026 by Zazie Todd PhD.
Here's the outline:
Podcasts are popular and still growing, so they are a great way to reach people with information about dog training and pet behaviour, and to build a profile for yourself and your business. 55% of Americans aged 12 or over listen to at least one podcast in a month, as do 39% of adult English-speaking Canadians. The average podcast listener enjoys 7.7 hours of podcasts every month. We’ll take an encouraging look at the basics you need to get started, from equipment to editing, hosting, and promotion. Podcasts can be solo, with a co-host, and/or with guests, and they can be more or less scripted, so we’ll consider the options and how to pick the format that works for you. Many podcasters give up in the early days, with only 43% reaching the milestone of 8 episodes (or fewer, depending where you get your stats). So what does it take to be successful—and what, realistically, does success look like? And should you be on Youtube too? If you’re thinking of starting a pet pod, this is how to get to episode 8 and beyond.
