I am only a few weeks away from the launch of my book, Wag: The Science of Making Your Dog Happy (more info here). It’s getting very exciting!

Thank you but no more applications are being accepted. If you signed up, check your email for the confirmation (if you don't see it, don't forget to look in  your spam folder).

Would you like to be one of the special people who is part of the book launch? I am recruiting people to help support me launch my book, Wag: The Science of Making Your Dog Happy.

If you want to join The Wag Team, you must:
  • Be a fan of my blog, Companion Animal Psychology
  • Preorder a copy of the book (or reserve a copy from your local library) to have by the launch date (10th March in Canada and the US, 12th March in the UK)
  • Post a photo of the book with your dog (or a friend’s dog, with their permission) on your social media channels
  • Write an honest review of the book on Amazon or Goodreads within four weeks of the book’s publication

In return, you will get to:
  • Share in the excitement of a book launch and learn behind-the-scenes information about how it all works
  • Receive 1-2 emails a week from me over the book launch period, keeping you posted on how the book launch is going
  • Be a member of a private Facebook group where we can chat about the book and share ways to help the book launch be a success (membership is optional)
  • Take part in a private Q&A with me about the book. This will take place as a live webinar/video. You will be able to submit questions in advance or ask them during the webinar. You will receive a copy of the recording afterwards so you can still watch it if you aren’t able to take part live.
  • Be in a draw to win one of two Wag-themed prize packs (including a signed copy of Wag)

If you would like to join The Wag Team, please complete this form by 6pm (Pacific time) on 15th February. Make sure you read the small print (below) first.

I will review the applications, and if you are accepted you will receive an email inviting you to join the email list for the group. I aim to send these within 48 hours of the deadline (if you don’t see it, check your spam folder). You will need to click to accept the emails for The Wag Team, and use the link to join the private Facebook group.

Wag: The Science of Making Your Dog Happy is my first book aimed at the general public and as you might have noticed, I’m super-excited! I hope it will help a lot of dogs and their owners. I will be thrilled to have you in my team.

If you are busy and don't have the bandwidth to join the team, you can still support the book by buying a copy and (if you feel like it) telling a friend about it or writing a review.

The small print

You will only receive emails about The Wag Team. I will not share your email address with anyone else. You can unsubscribe at any time and leave the Facebook group if you decide you do not want to be part of the team after all.

Members of the team are asked to be polite and respectful. I reserve the right to remove anyone who does not follow the rules from the group.

The private Q&A cannot be used as a private consultation about your own pet, as I am not able to give advice over the internet.

The prize draw is open to everyone in the Wag team except residents of Quebec. You do not need to write a review of the book in order to be entered in the draw.

The draw for the two prize packs will take place on 1st April. I will email the winners, and if necessary send 2 subsequent emails over the next 7 days. If I do not get a reply within seven days of the draw, I will draw a new winner instead. I will share the winners’ first names and town/city with the email list. If not based in Canada, winners are responsible for payment of any duties and taxes that might be due on the package. Sorry, but residents of Quebec cannot take part in the draw.

The prize packs

There will be two prize packs up for grabs. Each will include:
The Wag Team hoodie, choice of colour (subject to availability) (arrives separately)
Wag baseball cap (pink)
Wag button
